happy halloween!

It's actually just a normal day for me, because I have to work late tonight, so no halloweening will be happening for me, but I figure most other people are getting their spook on, so Happy Halloween!

Anyway, haven't had much time for doing anything except for working and sleeping, but I did finally start to figure out the whole crocheting thing...my first 'project' was supposed to be a potholder, it ended up being a small oddly shaped square. It's perfect for my big pink water cup, so I call it my crooked coaster. My second one ended up much better! I know it's just a stupid potholder, but I'm so proud!

My plants are still alive (yay!) and they're having their first weekly bath today! I had to move them into a closed room last week because I came home from work one day and found one of them out of its container and on the counter...apparently the cat couldn't resist!

Also, do you remember how excited I was about my pretty fall view from my craft table? Well...we had a huge windstorm a couple of nights ago....

And now all the leaves are on the ground instead of the tree. Damnit.

I tried bottle cutting because I keep reading that you can do it with yarn and acetone, a lighter and some cold water. LIES. If anyone has tried this and it worked for them, please tell me how! All I did was almost burn the house down and end up with a burned piece of yarn and a completely intact bottle. 

Still working on my 'welcome' painted wine bottle project, but its slow(ish) progress because I have to empty the bottles before I can do anything with them. This is both wonderful because I love wine, and possibly a problem, as I think I'm becoming a lush.
